Dickens Bicentennial 2012
February 7th, 2012 is the 200th anniversary of the birth of our progenitor, the illustrious Charles Dickens! There are year-long celebrations and exhibits planned all over the world, as well as right here in the Bay Area. We are busy planning celebrations that will take place at this year’s Great Dickens Christmas Fair – more information will be posted as soon as it is available!
We are pleased to be listed on the “Dickens 2012” website:

Here you will find links to excellent articles in the Smithsonian, new books released in honor of the bicentennial, and much more. Happenings and connections from the world over!
Update! It is rumored that the remarkably well-preserved Charles Dickens has been recently spotted at various locations around the San Francisco Bay Area! We shall investigate immediately and post our findings here.
Many thanks to our Dickens Bicentennial contributors: Rickie Bolin, Therese Porter, Cathleen Myers, Heidi Barthelemy, and Cat Taylor.
